What a pet does

A pet is equipment, not a companion with its own stats page. Equip it in an active slot and it applies a multiplier to the Water you gain per click; unequip it and the multiplier is gone. The higher the pet’s rarity, the larger the boost.

That single sentence explains why the code list matters so much for this game. Every one of the eight reported codes rewards a pet — random pets in most tracker listings, a Shark in some, a Lava Aquarium in one — so a new account that redeems everything before its first drain starts with a click multiplier it would otherwise have to hatch its way to.

Pet Eggs

Pets are obtained by hatching Pet Eggs. Public guides agree on that route and on nothing beyond it: no source has published the egg list, the hatch odds, the pet roster, the rarity tiers or the per-pet multipliers. The in-game hatch UI is the only place those exist.

Pets versus Pumps

This is the one priority call the sources actually settle. Sportskeeda states plainly that Pumps take precedence over Pets when you are optimising Water per click, and that you will progress much faster with a good Pump than by focusing on pets alone.

Read that as a spending rule rather than a ranking of the systems:

• Cash spare and pools draining slowly → buy the Pump.
• Pets → take the free ones from codes, equip the best you own, and let hatching happen as a by-product of playing rather than as a Cash sink.
• A full backpack, not slow draining, is sending you home → neither. Buy backpack space; see upgrades.

Comparing a pet against a purchase

When you are deciding whether an equipped pet is doing enough work, compare the number the game shows you against the alternative purchase — the displayed pet bonus versus the Pump or upgrade you were about to buy. A pet is worth a slot when its bonus helps the route you are actually running; it is not worth a detour when your bottleneck is a full bag or a slow walk back to the Shop.
